This summer it is 20 years since the Classic Open Air Festival in Berlin was held for the first time at the enchanting Gendarmenmarkt square. If you are in Berlin from 7th – 12th July 2011, then we recommend you go to the concert.
Every summer since 1992, Gendarmenmarkt Square in the heart of Berlin has been transformed into a spectacular scene for the Classic Open Air Festival - a series of concerts that attract audiences from all around the world. Since the start, the festival attracted approximately 600,000 people to a total of 105 concerts. The musical range covers everything from opera, operetta, musicals, pop, soul, swing and jazz - and much in between.
For this special anniversary edition in 2011 are planned seven concerts, and the organizers are confident that their concerts offers something for everyone - from the youngest rock'n'roller to the more mature opera fans. The concerts are an explosive experience for all senses: through sound, images, lights, lasers, fireworks and spectacular effects, you will be amazed throughout the show.
