Yoginis of Europe congregate in Berlin during the Yoga Festival of Berlin, taking place from the 24-26 June 2011 in the Cultural Park Kladow.

For Pink Floyd fans throughout Europe the dream is finally about to come true. Pink Floyd’s front man Roger Waters is kicking off the The Wall Live Tour in Europe next month. The tour starts in Lisbon on March 27th and is making stops in the GlobalCityBreak cities of Madrid, Barcelona, Prague, Paris and Berlin.

From 24th to 27th February 2011 Berlin will be celebrating the eighth edition of 100º Berlin – the Long Weekend of Independent Theatre. A bit like the White Nights festival, which takes places in many cities throughout Europe, 100º Berlin is an opportunity to attend free theatre performances throughout a four day marathon theatre fest.

One of Berlin’s best-known cultural events is the ‘The Long Night of Museums’, or Lange Nacht der Museen, and it offers precisely that, an open door invitation to visit over 100 museums in the capital, during one evening. The biannual event takes place this Friday, 27th January 2011, and visitors will be able to enjoy some special collections and cultural projects, which have been organized especially for the event.

It's really not hard to find a New Year's Eve party in Berlin as there are celebrations taking place every street corner. One of the biggest tourist attractions in Berlin is the former border between East and West Berlin – Checkpoint Charlie. The name comes simply by the letter C – because it was the checkpoint C – and in the Phonetic Alphabet C is Charlie. Checkpoint Charlie was the border between the Soviet and American zones in Berlin from 1945 – 1990.
